This is Edition ONE of Magnificent Me, an online magazine which will be posted quarterly for the first four issues – and then more frequently as we grow…
And that growth, dear readers, depends greatly on YOU!
Not only can you help us grow in the right way by posting feedback (using the live Feedback page), but you can also help us grow by sending us your email address and those of your mates, so that we can let you know when each new edition comes live (see the ‘Help us grow’ section).
Last but not least, you can become a contributor!
Are you a poet? We’re looking for poems for our ‘Poets Corner’ section.
Are you a photographer? We’re looking for interesting photo essays (rather than a mixed portfolio). Send us a few low-res jpegs and the idea behind your essay.
Have you got something to confess? We bet every one of you has! Whether it’s a big or a small confession (and don’t forget it can be anonymous if you wish!) go to our Confessions page and click the link at the bottom to get it off your chest
Would you like to send us a letter describing recent events in your life for the ‘Letter from’ section? We’re looking for contributions from anywhere in the world that give a particular and poetic flavour of the contrasts in women’s lives, both big and small.
Do you have a real life experience that really marked you to share with our readers for our First Person section?
Dare you share your sexual fantasy with us and our readers – under your real name or a pseudonym?!
Or are you a writer – experienced or first-time – with a good feature idea that you think other women would love to read about?
Do please note that we cannot pay at this stage for any contributions. We are two individual women undertaking this new venture at our own cost and even breaking even seems a long way ahead at this point. We hope you understand the community nature of this project and are willing to contribute for the sheer pleasure of taking part and seeing your work on the page!
We can’t guarantee that we will include your work, but we will of course keep you posted once you contribute. If what you send is fresh, original, creative, serious, funny or moving, it stands a very good chance of going in!
We’re sure you’ll understand that we have to reserve the right to edit and select contributions according to our editorial experience and instincts and to whatever seems right for the mix in each particular issue…
